Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer you take care of all common (software) service activities. The most common activities consist of (remote) troubleshooting using Beckhoff software (Twincat 2 and Twincat 3) and commissioning our high-tech production lines all over the world. Adjusting, testing & debugging and bringing and maintaining high precision/high volume production lines to performance is part of this. 

You have an eye for detail, are accurate, independent and involved. You are able to pick up additional work. Naturally, you have good communication skills and a proactive working attitude. Your work largely takes place from Almelo, where you regularly have remote connections to production lines all over the world.

Responsibilities

• Providing service to our machines for customers in all possible areas worldwide.
• Perform software adjustments/improvements on existing (already delivered) machines.
• Systematic debug/analysis/tackling of problems.
• Advising the customer.
• Be alert to new opportunities.
• Providing training to end users.
• Supervising and carrying out test & debug of machine and (sub) systems.
• Reporting the progress of the work to the Service Coordinator.
• Setting up a health and maintenance check of newly made machines.
• Perform ramp up support and service support onsite.

• At least an HBO level in electrical engineering / mechatronics obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or work experience.
• Completed relevant professional courses in the field of precision mechanical machines. 
• You have experience with PLC controls (Beckhoff)
• Experience with automated production environments (advantage). 
• Language skills: English, spoken and written (Dutch is a nice to have).

• €3,800 - €6,000 gross per month, based on 1 FTE.
• 27 vacation days and 13 ATV days.

• Working from home one day (also with a 32-hour employment contract).
• Both a 32-hour and a 40-hour working week are negotiable.
