Netherlands’ first Semicon Learning Center opens in Twente
On 24 September, the Netherlands’ first Semicon Learning Center opened at REMO Techniek in Rijssen. It is a place where you can discover how the semiconductor industry works and explore the opportunities it offers for learning and employment. The learning centre is part of a network of six learning environments across Twente, where education and industry work together.

What makes the Semicon Learning Center unique? Companies from across the semiconductor industry bring real-world assignments, equipment and challenges into the learning environment. This gives you the opportunity to experience what the industry is really like, gain hands-on experience, and develop the skills that employers are actively looking for. At the same time, you get to know the companies behind the technology. Who knows, in a few years' time you might even be building your own career there!
The semiconductor industry is growing rapidly. In Twente alone, thousands of additional employees will be needed in the coming years, from operators and technicians to engineers and specialists in high-tech manufacturing.
