We’re pleased to present the opportunity to join Urenco as a Design Manager. Based at our Gronau or Almelo Site you’ll deliver Front End Engineering Design (FEED), comprising a.o. Feasibility/Best Available Technology studies, Conceptual Design and Basic Design to Site and/or Group projects in conformity with agreed investment proposals and user requirements specification. These plant/facility designs shall comprise Urenco best design and operating practises and state-of-the-art technology solutions in order to support Urenco’s business.

What will your day look like?
- Operational management of a multidiscipline design team of senior engineers (5-15 reports)
- Ensure consistency, completeness and optimization between engineering discipline areas
- Actively promote a pro-active safety culture and perform analysis to create a learning from experience behaviour
- Allocation of design resources agreed with Manager Design Technology and Project Managers, define and execute Design Management Plans prepare design delivery cost estimates

What do you need to be great at this role?
- Senior experience in managing multi-disciplined teams to deliver medium/large plant designs Demonstrable leadership role in complex design and engineering projects
- Senior experience in defining and maintaining plant design throughout the asset life cycle, i.e. creation and fundamental understanding of design and safety basis.
- Capability to manage complex projects with a multidiscipline team of Senior Engineers.
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of all aspects of plant design including interfaces and boundary limits.

De afdeling is volop in ontwikkeling en er wordt hard gewerkt aan een verbeterde structuur voor het managen van projecten.
