3D Cabling Engineer

Your Job is to determine the routing of the cable harness and to visualize it into a well-designed structure (3D model). You will act in close cooperation with other disciplines (i.e., system engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, EMC engineers and production technologists), you will discuss and give feedback about your cable harness design. You are also responsible for the quality of the production documentation that will be used to manufacture the cable harnesses.

• You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering
• You have experience with CAD tools (preferable Pro-Engineer) and PDM tools
• (preferable Windchill/PdmLink).
• You have experience with routing cables in constructions and manufacturing of cable bundles;
• You have experience with electrical circuits;
• You are open minded, creative and able to think across boundaries;
• You are enthusiastic, persistent and flexible;
• You have good communication skills;
• You are fluent in English, both verbal and written;
• You are willing to travel and also willing to work externally for limited periods.

The development of modern Naval/Radar systems requires a multi-disciplinary approach in which the functional concept, the mechanical, the electronics, the electrical and cooling infrastructure are addressed simultaneously. In this multi-disciplinary team, the working area consists of the development of new mechanical concepts, introduction of new technologies and development of new Naval Radar and Combat systems.
