  • Research and development of electromechanical and robotic components and prototypes for the use of non-destructive measurement technology in harsh environment
  • Development of creative solutions to challenging requirements in pipeline and offshore domain
  • Interdisciplinary work with experts in simulation, hardware, sensor technology and electronics
  • Identification of potential cooperation partners in the research landscape
  • Supervision of bachelor and master theses
  • Writing scientific reports and research articles
  • Attendance of national and international conferences


  • Degree or doctorate in robotics, computer science, automation engineering, or a similar field of study
  • Practical experience with robotics and autonomous systems, e.g. using ROS and Gazebo
  • Experience in (embedded) software development (Python and/or C++)
  • First knowledge in the field of Computer Vision and Deep Learning
  • Enthusiasm for the design and development of electronic systems as well as a strong hands-on mentality
  • Visionary thinking and a high degree of decision-making freedom
  • High ability to work under pressure, excellent communication skills and proactive behavior for a solution-oriented way of working
  • Very good written and spoken English skills, German is a plus

In our interdisciplinary Science Disciples department, we investigate new technologies and develop innovative prototypes. In addition to a wide variety of sensors for non-destructive testing technology, we also develop different robotic systems and actuators. In close cooperation with our interdisciplinary team in Lingen (Germany), you are going to work on algorithms for our autonomous systems in the field of Control Theory, Sensor Filters, Computer Vision and Embedded Programming.
