The performance of thin film composite membranes for nanofiltration of aqueous solutions in can be greatly affected by the presence of, traces of, organic molecules. The presence of these solutes is known to potentially cause delamination of layers.
We are looking for a candidate that has obtained a doctoral degree in a physical chemistry related field, preferably in surface science; the degree should generally not be older than four years. In particular, experience with thermodynamic descriptions of multicomponent systems and interfacial interactions is considered an advantage. As the position requires significant communication tasks, good command of the English language, especially written English, is essential.
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will work within the multidisciplinary team of researchers within the Membrane Science and Technology Cluster of the University of Twente.
You will be appointed on a fulltime position for one year, within a very stimulating scientific environment. The university offers a dynamic ecosystem with enthusiastic colleagues.
- Gross salary: ranging from € 3.353 to € 4.402 per month, depending on your background, relevant experience and qualifications, in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement (CAO) of the Dutch Universities.
