Cloud Architect

• Design and implement our Cloud deployment with high security levels;
• Select and implement daily security measures.
• Expand and fine-tune our Elastic Stack monitoring infrastructure;
• Become part of our 24x7 team that deals with severe incidents (availability or security)
• Contribute to our Cloud roadmap;
• Ensure a secure deployment and management, adhering to our ISO27001 ISMS;
• Job location is Enschede (The Netherlands).

• Relevant professional or university degree (BSc, MSc), e.g. computer science, informatics or similar;
• Public cloud experience (AWS, Azure etc.);
• Experience with Cloud operations and strategy;
• Security minded, both on technical and on non-technical side;
• Ability to professionally communicate with customers;
• You are an EU citizen and speak English fluently, and preferably speak Dutch as well;
• This job does not require significant travelling, but this may occasionally be needed.

As a Cloud Architect you will be joining our multinational highly skilled team of developers that cover various disciplines and technologies. Although each developer brings his or her own perspectives and specialities, we consider development a joint effort. We belief that close cooperation is the key to a high quality product offering. Note that next to a Cloud Architect, we are also hiring a Security Officer, a Security Engineer, Android Developers, iOS Developers and Java Server developers. We don’t apply strict role boundaries, but fit roles and activities to personal skills and competences. A mixed function profile combining more roles is certainly an option.

We require a high service availability and process sensitive (personal) data. We run all our servers in the public cloud (currently AWS, but also considering/exploring Azure and GCM). Some customers ask us to provide our servers on-prem, typically as docker images. Ensuring this is done in a secure, effective and efficient manner requires us to take technical and process steps with continuous improvement. As a Cloud Architect you participate in setting our Cloud strategy and standards.
