Building a sustainable future

We will have a circular economy in 2050. At least, that is the plan. Everyone has to contribute to this goal, both individuals and businesses. That also goes for the construction industry, which is strongly represented in Twente. They focus on sustainable building through technology. Think of completely robotized prefabricated buildings, 3D-printing of materials, visualizations, and instructions with virtual reality… You guessed it already: the next Campus Café focuses on innovation in the construction industry. Besides engaging sessions about new technologies, you will also have the opportunity to connect with several entrepreneurs who will pitch their innovation during the innovation carrousel. An ideal opportunity to help these innovative businesses with your knowledge, expertise, and network.

Breakout session | Optimizing design process with Generative Design and VR/AR

During a construction project, a lot of time and effort goes into creating just one design. What if you could make this proces more efficient, with multple designs as a result? Generative Design does this by simply answering a few questions. Experience the designs in VR Real-Time, Real size. Jan Kampuis (Pioneering), Ko Bontje (Stamhuis), Chris de Vries (Itannex), and Tim Hermans (Recreate) will share with you how you can make use of these technologies to involve your stakeholders more during the design process.
